This book is designed to familiarize students with all aspects examined in the CXC English Language Paper I, and to provide adequate practice in the objective type questions on which the paper is structured.

The Practice Tests are based on the standard of the examination and consist of 8 Units.It is hoped that both teacher and student would find this book valuable, after aquiring the fundamental skills required for the examination.

CXC English Language Paper II has its major objectives (a) intensive practice in using the vocabulary and structures of the language in the areas of written expression and (b) the production of free and complete response in comp-
rehension.

The work preserves the format and emphases of the CXC English Language Examintaion, Paper II. There are 15 Units or Papers and each unit offers a variety of items in both areas mentioned above.
